Taking pictures…
by Nathan Ravens on Jan.17, 2012, under Photography
So apart from cycling and running and spending wayyy too much time staring, sometimes blankly at a computer screen, I also love taking pictures of all sorts of stuff… I say all sorts of stuff because I really do take pictures of random objects, creatures, scenery and just about anything that catches my eye…
I’m not saying that I’m very good at it but I do enjoy the hobby so I will add Photography to my blog… maybe I will update my blog with new posts more often if I add photography as a topic… I dunno though so I guess we’ll just have to see how it goes.
I don’t have the best equipment and it’s not the latest either but it gets the job done. I use a Canon 350D with a standard kit lens and for macro stuff I use a basic macro extension tube… not the most high tech attachment but works well enough for now.
Then I have some colour filters and speedlight and some led lights for lightpainting…
Anyway, I’ll post some pics… soon
Malema doing some kicking
by Nathan Ravens on Apr.09, 2010, under Fun Stuff, News Views, Twitter
Who the hell does Julius Malema think he is… he’s clearly rude and racist… and not a good example to the youth of South Africa. As a leader in the ANCYL is he not meant to lead the youth to a better South Africa? The ANC needs to realise the damage he’s causing to the party and the country. His backward thinking and childish behaviour is undoing the progress we’ve made…
This country we are in is a democratic one Julius, so get out.. Just get out… security, remove this man!

"The raven is a powerful animal totem, a protector and spirit guide. He’s a shape-shifter and messenger and a symbol of transformation. Its coal black plumage invokes the void, secrecy, and mystery. But the raven is also a solar symbol. The mythical raven brought the Sun to mankind, and in so doing became a symbol of light. From the earliest times, raven myths tell of its intelligence and concern for humans." -
